An open capstan winch used mainly in the telecommunications industry for the installation of telecom cables and associated ducts underground using the horizontally mounted capstan and a suitable winch rope. The open capstan winch has a pulley wheel mounted below the capstan that guides the rope in horizontal pulls, and reaction struts fitted to the open capstan winch provide stability during use. |
